So Much for "W" & the Religious Right??
Heard this former senior presidential aide in the Bush administration was on 60 Minutes tonight talking about his new book. Sorry I missed it. Could it be that the blanket on their "king" sized bed the bed is unraveling???
Interesting stuff. We do need to be involved tho. My moaning about it in my blog or elsewhere won't effect anything.
I liked Jim Wallis's book: God's Politics. It clarified some things for me and made me think about a lot of things but it also challenged me to do more than complain.
I think perhaps the line we need to try to walk is to be involved but not be owned by any party or candidate. We need to discern carefully about each candidate and each issue and then get involved somehow.....at least to vote.
There is no single litmus test and no virtue to be had in the pursuit of power.
Located in Western Massachusetts, I am a college instructor and Associate Director of Community Service Learning at UMass Amherst. In addition, I am an artist of the garden and home including: designing, creating, implementing and up-cycling for interior and exterior spaces. My work often includes assemblage with altered, recycled and found objects. For me, the hunt for materials is a huge part of the creative process. I am married and have grown children: a daughter and son-in-law and a son and daughter-in-law. I have two dogs, Chloe and Mia and 2 cats, Arthur and Merci. All of our pets are rescues. The most recent arrival is from an awesome rescue in Tennessee, A Place to Bark - google it!
