BeDe Backgrounds
Tonight I wanted to paint, so I painted about 30 BeDe cards with background colors: gold, blue and /or orange in swirls and dots or blotted with saran wrap or smudged with paper towels. Nice start. Now...what to make of them...hmmmmmm...another day...time to rest now.
Located in Western Massachusetts, I am a college instructor and Associate Director of Community Service Learning at UMass Amherst. In addition, I am an artist of the garden and home including: designing, creating, implementing and up-cycling for interior and exterior spaces. My work often includes assemblage with altered, recycled and found objects. For me, the hunt for materials is a huge part of the creative process. I am married and have grown children: a daughter and son-in-law and a son and daughter-in-law. I have two dogs, Chloe and Mia and 2 cats, Arthur and Merci. All of our pets are rescues. The most recent arrival is from an awesome rescue in Tennessee, A Place to Bark - google it!

they came out really really well. what kind of paint did you use?
Little bottles of stencil paint (acrylic) and a foam brush. The blue I watered down a bit. The gold is the same type of paint but a metalic color.
Beautiful!!!
